Petworth/Takoma Bus via Casa Lala starts August 24

Breakthrough operates a shuttle bus with Casa Lala between Petworth and Takoma. Casa Lala Petworth (1244 Taylor St. NW) provides transportation to and from Breakthrough.

• Children who wish to ride the bus in the morning gather at 1244 Taylor St. NW. The bus leaves at 8:00 AM each morning.

• At dismissal, students who ride the bus wait in their classrooms and have a snack with aftercare students. At 4:15 PM they board the bus to return to Casa Lala 1244 Taylor St. NW.

• The round trip bus is $14/day and is $7 for one-way. Sibling discount (10%), and scholarships for eligible families (50%).

• Casa Lala provides their own Spanish-enrichment aftercare program Monday through Friday. If you are interested in your child participating in Casa Lala's bilingual (Spanish/English) Montessori afterschool programming, please visit Casa Lala's website at www.casalala.org. Students participating in Casa Lala aftercare board their bus at 3:15 PM. Please note that families interested in Casa Lala after school programming must coordinate and register directly with Casa Lala.
